Shipping and Receiving Clerk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Efficiently and accurately manage incoming and outgoing materials.

• Utilize the D365 MRP system to execute shipping and receiving transactions while ensuring precise inventory records.

• Generate shipping documents such as packing slips, shipping labels, picking lists, and Bills of Lading.

• Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, truck drivers, supervisors, and internal departments regarding pickups, deliveries, shipment statuses, and scheduling.

• Package and label products in accordance with company specifications and confirm the accuracy of outgoing shipments.

• Identify, print, organize, and distribute picking lists to product assemblers.

• Investigate and address discrepancies in receiving, damaged shipments, and inventory variances.

• Receive, inspect, unload, unpack, document, track, and route incoming materials.

• Keep shipping records organized and maintain clean and orderly shipping and receiving areas.

• Adhere to company safety, quality, shipping, receiving, and PPE protocols.

• Support supervisors and managers in fostering a safe and healthy work environment.

• Communicate via radio throughout the day to ensure smooth operations.

• Modify forms and documents as necessary for last-minute load adjustments.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Over 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or distribution within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• Proven experience in processing inventory transactions using ERP systems such as D365, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

• Strong proficiency in computer systems and accuracy in transactions.

• Background in freight coordination, receiving documentation, inventory management, and warehouse operations.

• Demonstrated attention to detail, process discipline, and effective cross-functional communication skills.

• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.

• Ability to adhere to instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.

• Good communication skills paired with a positive attitude.

• Capability to operate a forklift or overhead crane.

• Ability to fulfill physical requirements including standing, walking, stooping, balancing, kneeling, reaching, and sitting.

• Must be able to wear necessary PPE, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and masks.

• Willingness to work in various conditions including heat, cold, noise, vibration, dust, fumes, and all types of weather.

• Must be open to potential overtime and extended hours based on customer and company needs.

• Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace and may be subject to substance abuse testing.
