ServiceNow Developer – SME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Design and automate enterprise IT Asset Management, CMDB, and HRSD functionalities.

• Create and set up workflows for SAM and HAM, encompassing license entitlements, software models, normalization, reclamation, and lifecycle management.

• Ensure platform architecture aligns with CSDM standards.

• Preserve CMDB integrity through Data Certification, Discovery, Reconciliation, and Health Assessments.

• Design and set up HRSD modules, portals, and workspaces.

• Develop tailored scripts, Script Includes, Business Rules, Flow Designer workflows, and Service Portal widgets.

• Create ServiceNow integrations with SCCM, Jamf, Intune, Active Directory, Coupa, and other external data sources utilizing IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.

• Establish data governance protocols for hardware and software assets.

• Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications.

• Gather requirements and convert them into technical specifications in collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Produce technical and functional documentation, assisting with platform upgrades, testing, and reconfiguration.

• Participate in technical process evaluations, postmortems, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Estimate the effort required for implementing ServiceNow functionalities.

• Provide technical leadership, perform code reviews, create architectural documentation, and mentor junior developers.

• Maintain current ServiceNow and industry certifications while pursuing additional certifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant technical training, certification(s), or academic degree.

• Over 10 years of related experience.

• Expert-level proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB, HRSD, and ITAM, particularly SAM and HAM.

• Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing SAM, HAM, and CSDM frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience with complete SAM and/or HAM implementations.

• In-depth knowledge of software licensing metrics and the lifecycles of physical hardware assets.

• Experience with ServiceNow platform architecture, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.

• Proficient in JavaScript, AngularJS, JSON, and REST/SOAP web services.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Performance Analytics.

• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM or ITOM modules.

• Capability to analyze requirements, resolve issues, and craft technical solutions.

• Understanding of Agile software testing methodologies from smoke testing to production deployment.

• Ability to document and create functionality that aligns with customer value streams.

• Competence in producing effort estimates and fundamental deployment plans.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Quick learner of new technologies.

• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.

• Ability to coach, guide, and mentor junior developers.

• ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator certification is mandatory.

• Must successfully pass a background check to qualify for a Public Trust position.
