This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
β’ Carry out routine HVAC/R service tasks and refrigerant recovery operations with minimal supervision.
β’ Conduct preventative maintenance, service recovery equipment, and execute standard repairs at customer locations.
β’ Serve as the on-site leader while working alongside a Tech I assistant.
β’ Diagnose and address intermediate-level issues related to chillers and refrigeration systems.
β’ Detect refrigerant leaks, malfunctioning components, and faults in control systems.
β’ Utilize pressure gauges, multimeters, recovery units, and various diagnostic tools.
β’ Interpret pressures, temperatures, error codes, manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
β’ Implement repairs or provide stable temporary solutions while awaiting permanent fixes.
β’ Assist senior technicians or Leads with refrigerant retrofit conversions and chiller decontamination projects.
β’ Execute deep vacuum pulls, charge refrigerant, flush oil, and change filters under supervision.
β’ Manage on-site tools, materials, refrigerant inventory, and project logistics.
β’ Make minor field decisions and report progress or issues to the Service Manager or Lead.
β’ Guide and train Service Tech I employees on procedures, safety, and troubleshooting techniques.
β’ Communicate work completed to customers and respond to routine inquiries.
β’ Ensure customer satisfaction and keep them informed before leaving the site.
β’ 1β3 years of practical HVAC/R field service experience.
β’ EPA 608 Universal Certification is mandatory.
β’ OSHA-10 safety training or an equivalent certification is required.
β’ A valid driverβs license is necessary.
β’ Ability to meet DOT requirements for operating service vehicles.
β’ Forklift operation certification is required or must be obtained.
β’ Intermediate proficiency in Service Tech I responsibilities.
β’ Knowledge of industrial chillers, refrigerant recovery units, vacuum pumps, and electrical control systems.
β’ Ability to read equipment manuals, basic wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
β’ Familiarity with sampling for oil and refrigerant analysis.
β’ Comfort level with using computers/tablets for service reports, emails, and technical documentation.
β’ Capability to organize multiple work orders and prioritize tasks on-site.
β’ Excellent communication skills for guiding junior helpers and reporting job-related information.
β’ Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues proactively.
β’ Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
β’ Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces is required.
β’ Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
β’ Ability to work at heights, on rooftops, and in various weather conditions.
β’ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
β’ Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and operate service vehicles and equipment safely.
β’ Flexibility to work overtime and respond to emergency or on-call situations.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 80% regionally and approximately 20% nationally, including overnight trips.
