This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to deliver all-encompassing service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and specialty food service equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
• Liaise with manufacturers for diagnosis and parts identification.
• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for on-site technical support.
• Install customer-ordered parts promptly and professionally in accordance with company policies.
• Suggest and promote Smart Care services to customers when appropriate.
• Generate precise and timely work orders, time reports, receipts, and truck stock inventory records.
• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.
• Keep the service vehicle organized and maintain accurate parts and tool inventories.
• Achieve productivity levels that meet company standards.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and capability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as required.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Capacity to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and potential electrical hazards in damp, humid, or freezing environments.
• Competence in working on ladders, roofs, and other elevated areas.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency in reading diagrams and schematics.
• Preferred: relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications such as EPA or CFESA.
• Preferred: experience in commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair.
• Preferred: ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
