Service Specialist, H2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive surveys of hydrogen infrastructure at client locations.

• Maintain and service hydrogen systems at customer facilities.

• Execute remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to guide customer service support teams.

• Carry out specialized service procedures, including repairs on liquid tanks and vacuum jacket lines.

• Interpret electrical wiring and piping schematics.

• Provide emergency support services to clients as needed for their hydrogen systems.

• Train and oversee personnel in troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of hydrogen infrastructure.

• Deliver customer training on hydrogen systems.

• Troubleshoot and maintain high-pressure hydrogen storage, delivery, and fueling systems.

• Undertake special assignments such as laboratory testing, field readiness demonstrations, and support for marketing trade shows.

• Maintain regular communication with client personnel regarding aftermarket support for hydrogen infrastructure.

• Provide consistent feedback to company management about field maintenance challenges.

• Complete administrative responsibilities and documentation, including expense reports, mileage logs, and site/system documentation.

• Promote and enforce safety protocols in the field and at customer locations.

• Represent Plug Power in a professional manner during all interactions.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or vocational qualification in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems, or another relevant field.

• High school diploma with 3+ years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the degree requirement.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities – up to 100% of the time.

• Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

• Experience in leadership, particularly in training and developing technical skills among employees.

• Proven analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
