This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Respond to incoming service calls and handle emergency inquiries, technical questions, and operational challenges.
• Oversee and support technicians with job preparation and on-site inquiries.
• Manage the diagnosis, adjustments, repairs, and overhauls of mobile equipment, including crawler cranes and drilling rigs.
• Instruct US technicians on appropriate repair and maintenance protocols.
• Repair and replace parts that are damaged or worn out.
• Operate, inspect, disassemble, reassemble, clean, lubricate, maintain, overhaul, and test heavy machinery.
• Identify defects and malfunctions utilizing handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, pressure gauges, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical schematics.
• Inspect components, measurements, clearances, and equipment to ensure compliance with factory specifications.
• Complete necessary paperwork and oversee service and warranty orders.
• Uphold quality standards and enforce safety protocols.
• Supervise, train, and lead service personnel and technical advisors, including responsibilities for hiring, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate training for technicians and technical advisors.
• Provide after-hours support via the 24-hour service hotline and take part in the on-call rotation.
• Assist field technicians and service administrators with travel planning and jobsite details.
• Support the Head of Customer Service and the spare parts department.
• Supervise service information, machine commissioning, and customer handover processes.
• Collaborate with LWN on unresolved issues and requests.
• Build and develop the LR/HS service technician team.
• Oversee rental equipment and coordinate with the Rental Equipment Manager to ensure it remains in sellable condition.
• Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the Crawler Cranes team.
• Associate's or Technical degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy equipment; or a combination of education and experience.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport.
• Capacity to work extended hours, weekends, and fulfill on-call duties for the 24-hour service hotline.
