This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Manage a portfolio of serious injury claims for clients of Minster Law.
• Oversee primarily RTA-related cases that involve complex technical challenges and quantum, with values ranging from £125k to multi-million pounds.
• Provide mentorship support to colleagues within the Serious Injury team.
• Serve as a technical authority in a designated area of expertise.
• Ensure exceptional client care for individuals impacted by traumatic, life-altering events.
• Effectively progress cases and assist the Team Manager in implementing new operational practices and procedures.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and conduct in-person meetings.
• Instruct and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, including medical professionals, case managers, care specialists, architects, forensic accountants, and legal counsel.
• Analyze evidence and research legal matters related to liability, causation, and quantum.
• Draft statements, pleadings, loss schedules, and various other legal documents.
• Secure early interim payments and arrange appropriate rehabilitation services.
• Maximize client settlements.
• Enhance the department's visibility and promote Minster Law's reputation through affiliations with APIL, Headway, SIA, and related organizations.
• Report on case progress and prepare articles and testimonials.
• Inspire and manage the client case team to meet objectives and KPIs.
• Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings, technical and case evaluations, providing feedback and mentorship.
• Achieve agreed-upon results and service level agreements in a high-quality, target-driven environment.
• Propel case progression, maximizing recoveries, fee income, and accurate time recording.
• Manage and minimize write-offs.
• Contribute to business development, strategic planning, and growth initiatives.
• Perform other relevant and reasonable business tasks.
• A qualified Solicitor or Fellow of CILEX with at least 8 years of Post Qualification Experience, or equivalent experience to charge and recover Grade A rates.
• Demonstrated success in managing serious injury claims as the principal fee earner in a comparable role.
• Experienced litigator with robust technical skills and practical knowledge of court processes.
• Proven experience in mentoring junior or developing team members.
• Dedication to delivering excellent client care.
• Strong professional reputation and experience in enhancing a firm’s profile within the personal injury sector.
• Ability to meet objectives in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality work and client service.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred, including performance management, achieving goals, and motivating/developing individuals.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities.
• Proficiency with case management systems, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and initiative.
• Capability to navigate changing circumstances and challenging situations.
• Experience in business development and a strong industry network.
• Existing connections with Headway, SIA, APIL, or similar organizations.
