This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement search engine optimization strategies to increase relevant traffic, enhance search engine rankings, and generate qualified leads and revenue for clients.
• Collaborate with SEO colleagues, leadership, and cross-functional teams on digital marketing strategies that align with client business objectives.
• Engage directly with small to medium-sized clients in a client-facing capacity.
• Plan, create, and execute advanced SEO strategies tailored to client requirements within set budgets and timelines.
• Measure and report on SEO performance metrics, including traffic, rankings, conversion quality, and trends, through emails, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings.
• Convert client business priorities into SEO strategies that yield qualified leads and/or sales.
• Conduct thorough competitor analysis to uncover industry trends, best practices, and areas for improvement.
• Develop, implement, and oversee budgets while managing surplus and overage amounts.
• Meet expectations regarding timelines, communication, results, and deliverables.
• Foster and maintain client relationships through effective trust-building communication.
• Investigate client industries, track trends, and leverage insights to create innovative strategies.
• Monitor and report individual portfolio, client, team, and company metrics on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Work with Leads and teammates to manage scopes, workloads, budgets, and client priorities.
• Stay updated on digital marketing trends, Google algorithm updates, and industry news.
• Enhance SEO knowledge through self-directed learning and continuous BSchool training; share insights with teammates and clients.
• Utilize SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Brightedge, and Accuranker to devise and assess optimization strategies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel may be necessary to headquarters or client locations, limited to less than 10%.
• At least 3 years of SEO experience; agency experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of utilizing and optimizing search intent throughout the consumer/buyer journey.
• Strong experience in independently managing or leading client relationships.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication skills, able to convey information to Clients & Teammates in a friendly, credible manner both verbally and in writing, as this role is client-facing.
• Organizational skills with the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects, demonstrating a sense of urgency to complete tasks.
• Basic understanding of conversion optimization principles.
• Proficiency in using spreadsheet functions and formulas to analyze, identify trends, and summarize data.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Botify, DeepCrawl, Screaming Frog, SEOClarity, Brightedge, and other website analytics and marketing tools.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Magento, Shopify, Big Commerce, and Modx.
• SEO experience with large consumer-facing national websites that have 1,000+ pages.
• Experience working alongside Development teams to diagnose, test, and resolve technical SEO issues, improving site health and search visibility.
• A consultative and analytical background through agency or freelance work.
• Must reside in the USA.
