This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive Local SEO and AIEO strategy for traditional Map Packs and AI-enhanced search experiences, including Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT.
• Guide and offer technical expertise to the SEO team.
• Establish priorities, assess deliverables, and uphold high quality-control standards.
• Create and revise agency SOPs for technical SEO, content architecture, entity optimization, and automated workflows.
• Oversee and resolve issues related to Google Business Profiles at scale, encompassing suspensions, reinstatements, and optimization for multiple locations.
• Investigate and implement AI-driven tools for research, analysis, and content workflows.
• Establish KPIs linking organic visibility and Google Business Profile engagement to client leads and revenue.
• Spearhead strategic collaboration on key accounts, present performance metrics, and coordinate efforts with Paid Search, Development, and Content departments.
• A minimum of 4 years of practical SEO experience focused on local/multi-location search (7+ years required for consideration at the Director level).
• Must reside in North America and be capable of working within North American time zones.
• Extensive knowledge of local ranking elements, including citations, NAP consistency, local link building, and location page strategy.
• Proven understanding of generative search, structured data, and topical authority in the context of AI-search experiences.
• Strong proficiency in technical SEO, covering audits, crawlability, schema implementation, and site architecture.
• Experience in managing SEO professionals or acting as the strategic lead across a varied portfolio of clients.
• Prior experience in an agency setting, particularly with multi-location brands, home services, or medical clients.
• Significant experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and local-specific tools such as BrightLocal or Local Falcon.
• Technical knowledge of Next.js frameworks (nice-to-have).
• Working familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (nice-to-have).
• Experience utilizing WordPress builders like Elementor or Divi (nice-to-have).
