Senior/Principal Go Developer, Cybersecurity Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of a comprehensive backend ecosystem comprising various services with minimal onboarding support.

• Design and manage backend services utilizing Golang.

• Produce clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

• Engage in code reviews and technical discussions.

• Evaluate legacy and unreviewed code to uncover technical debt, systemic problems, and architectural vulnerabilities.

• Recognize inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement, proposing and implementing effective solutions.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to establish technical goals and carry out roadmap initiatives.

• Advocate for architectural enhancements and negotiate technical decisions with peer engineering teams.

• Contribute to the long-term evolution of the platform while balancing immediate business priorities.

• Ensure the reliability and performance of high-load production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial software development.

• Strong expertise in Golang.

• Solid foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.

• Experience throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and objective-setting to delivery and support.

• Proven track record of working with high-load, high-traffic production systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of scalable and maintainable backend architecture concepts.

• Capability to work independently with large and unfamiliar codebases.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Demonstrated proactive approach with the ability to identify issues prior to escalation.

• Experience in aligning technical solutions with business and customer requirements.

• Proficient in communicating and negotiating technical direction with engineering stakeholders.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.
