Senior/Lead Full Stack Engineer – Node.js, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain full-stack applications utilizing TypeScript/React and Node.js

• Create integrations with WordPress, Contentful, Zuora, and Tivity's internal systems

• Design APIs, backend services, data flows, and solutions leveraging DynamoDB and RDS

• Establish and enhance LaunchDarkly feature-flag configurations for progressive delivery

• Employ AI-assisted coding tools while maintaining code quality, security, and sustainability

• Engage in automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD processes, troubleshooting, and technical documentation

• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams to provide dependable healthcare solutions

• Transform exploratory R&D concepts into production-ready experiments

• For Lead: act as the primary technical liaison with Tivity's team and synchronize efforts with the client PM

• For Lead: oversee technical design, planning, mentorship, and delivery across three workstreams

• Participate in recruitment processes through interview panels

• Enhance customer web registration, content discovery, enrollment conversion, personalization, search, payment and subscription flows, testing infrastructure, and the Contentful transition

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience with TypeScript/React and Node.js (7+ years and prior technical leadership experience for Lead)

• Significant experience in designing, building, testing, and maintaining scalable backend services and modern web applications

• Hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom integrations, APIs, plugins, themes, or headless CMS implementations

• Experience integrating subscription, billing, or payment platforms, preferably Zuora

• Familiarity with Contentful or a similar headless CMS

• Experience implementing LaunchDarkly or a similar feature-flagging platform

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, system integrations, data flows, and service-oriented architecture

• Experience with DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, or comparable relational and NoSQL databases

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools

• Experience in mature CI/CD environments and automated build, test, and deployment pipelines

• Ability to work in an environment characterized by rapid prototyping, ambiguous scope, and changing requirements

• Strong understanding of clean code practices, automated testing, version control, observability, and secure development

• Experience collaborating with Product, Design, QA, and business stakeholders using tools such as Jira, Figma, Storybook, and Jellyfish

• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to function effectively in a distributed, cross-functional team with significant daily overlap with US business hours

• Capability to work within a regulated healthcare environment where reliability, privacy, HIPAA compliance, and data protection are critical

• For Lead: responsible for technical client coordination, architectural leadership, mentoring, engineering process enhancements, and ownership of technical delivery

• Legal work authorization in the country of residence

• Nice to have: experience in healthcare, AWS, Datadog, design systems, Storybook, WCAG, HIPAA/HITRUST/FHIR, clinical instruments, telehealth, or health-tech
