Senior Writer, Grants

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Address Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by government entities and various institutional funders, including corporate and private foundations.

• Collaborate with Department Leads and the proposed implementation team to create persuasive proposals that align with organizational objectives and programmatic requirements.

• Oversee, coordinate, and occasionally lead the proposal development processes for both internal and external partner teams.

• Gather information from partners and develop detailed proposal narratives and budgets.

• Organize proposal teams that may consist of Principal Investigator PhDs, AltaMed MD/DOs and other clinical professionals, Department/Line of Business leaders, and implementation teams.

• Ensure the timely completion and submission of thorough applications by the deadlines specified in RFPs.

• Actively identify funding opportunities for approval by leadership.

• Create concept papers that highlight best practices to enhance and expand AltaMed's operations and programmatic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree is required; a PhD in health services or a medical degree is preferred.

• Experience in publication writing and presentations within the healthcare or related fields is necessary.

• A minimum of 7 years of grant writing experience in the nonprofit healthcare sector is required.
