Senior Workday Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and provide support for intricate Workday HCM and Payroll integrations.

• Create and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, XML, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based integration techniques.

• Lead the integration efforts between Workday and various third-party platforms, including benefits, payroll, tax, timekeeping, scheduling, and recruiting.

• Manage integrations across their complete lifecycle, encompassing design, development, testing, go-live, stabilization, and ongoing support.

• Diagnose complex integration challenges, conduct root-cause analysis, and facilitate prompt resolutions.

• Collaborate with internal technical teams, functional stakeholders, vendors, and the Workday implementation partner.

• Develop integration standards, documentation, monitoring, and support processes for the long-term Workday ecosystem.

• Offer technical leadership and direction regarding integration architecture, scalability, security, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Workday integration and/or ERP integration, including managing complex implementations.

• Strong practical expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, XML, APIs, and file-based integrations.

• Experience in designing and supporting REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integration patterns.

• Required experience with Workday HCM and/or Payroll integrations.

• A strong preference for experience with Benefits and Payroll integrations.

• Proven experience integrating Workday with benefits, tax, timekeeping, scheduling, recruiting, or other third-party systems.

• Demonstrated ability to support integrations throughout implementation, testing, go-live, stabilization, and production support.

• Excellent troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Workday training, current or prior certification, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.

• Experience in the healthcare sector or higher education.

• Familiarity with Azure API Management, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or similar integration platforms.

• Exposure to Epic and/or HL7 integration.

• PMP or ITIL certification is preferred.
