This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +2 more states.
• Report directly to the Service Director and cultivate enduring customer relationships.
• Oversee a multi-site wind service hub and manage the daily operations of the hub.
• Supervise turbine output and prioritize turbine performance to achieve or surpass commitments.
• Handle staffing needs, including coaching, training, corrective action, and succession planning for both employees and contracted partners.
• Take responsibility for the hub's safety culture, encompassing both contracted partners and customers.
• Conduct daily Plan of the Day calls and oversee dispatch schedules.
• Act as the primary customer contact and fulfill contractual obligations.
• Address customer issues in collaboration with the Customer Performance Manager.
• Collaborate with Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and HR to achieve set deliverables.
• Direct operations across multiple locations, including weekly site visits.
• Promote a safety-centric environment, enhance team engagement, and foster continuous development of customer relationships.
• Employ creative problem-solving and LEAN methodologies in facility operations.
• Oversee service and maintenance tasks, which include preventive and remedial maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, facility management, and field service engineering.
• Carry out operational planning and execution independently while adhering to established policies.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including leadership roles.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field services role or a similar position within the energy sector.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the hub, which may involve overnight stays.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Capability and willingness to access military sites by passing a background check.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Technical certification in Wind Energy or in the Electrical/Electronic field is advantageous.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet management, email applications, facility control systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Experience in the wind turbine or energy industry is beneficial.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems, including proficiency with hydraulic power tools.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment necessary for facility maintenance, including knowledge of crane and rigging standards.
• Strong writing skills to meet contractual reporting requirements.
• In-depth understanding of operations and maintenance best practices, alongside planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and managing wind hub activities, productivity enhancements, and outage management.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, adaptability, initiative, and teamwork abilities.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
