This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish and refine the vision, strategy, operational model, and long-term objectives for the Experience & Commerce Practice.
• Articulate Valtech’s perspective on the influence of AI on digital experience delivery, platform engineering, commerce, and consulting.
• Create benchmarks of excellence in engineering, business analysis, consulting, and client service.
• Promote innovation, technical expertise, accountability, and ongoing enhancement.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to drive AI-native organizational transformation.
• Convert Experience & Commerce teams into AI-native delivery organizations.
• Roll out and expand AI-enabled operational models, agents, AI-assisted workflows, and specification-driven development.
• Develop AI-driven commerce, intelligent product discovery, predictive personalization, autonomous shopping agents, and agentic web experiences.
• Assemble and guide high-performing teams across engineering, consulting, architecture, and business analysis.
• Cultivate subject matter expert networks for client engagements, capability enhancement, and sales initiatives.
• Define hiring profiles, career frameworks, and educational pathways.
• Spearhead certification, training, and capability development across strategic platforms and technologies.
• Provide advisory services to clients regarding platform strategies and business transformation.
• Support teams in designing and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions with quantifiable business results.
• Advocate for reusable assets, reference architectures, accelerators, and best practices.
• Collaborate with delivery leaders on engagement planning, staffing, and overall success.
• Implement AI-native delivery methods to enhance efficiency, quality, and market readiness.
• Reinforce Valtech’s leadership in the Experience & Commerce sector through thought leadership, events, and publications.
• Create integrated offerings in collaboration with practices, regions, and client groups.
• Work with Sales and Alliances on platform partnerships and shared go-to-market strategies.
• Recognize emerging technology, AI, and platform trends.
• Direct strategic Experience & Commerce capabilities across the Americas, with potential to take on broader regional engineering leadership.
• Over 15 years of experience in leading digital, technology, commerce, experience, or consulting organizations at scale.
• Proven experience in executive leadership roles managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, architecture, consulting, business analysis, and delivery.
• Demonstrated success in defining strategy, leading organizational change, and achieving measurable business results.
• Strong comprehension of contemporary digital architecture, cloud platforms, enterprise technology ecosystems, and platform-based delivery models.
• Experience in steering complex digital experience, commerce, or customer transformation projects.
• Profound understanding of how technology platforms generate business value and influence client outcomes.
• In-depth knowledge of AI’s effects on software delivery, digital experiences, platform architecture, and operational models.
• Experience in managing large-scale change initiatives and the adoption of new operational methodologies.
• Executive-level engagement experience with C-suite and senior business stakeholders.
• Proven track record in supporting business development, strategic sales efforts, and revenue growth initiatives.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Candidates must reside in British Columbia, Ontario, or Québec.
• Candidates based in Québec must be fluent in English.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and consulting is an advantage.
• An advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) is preferred.
