This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Create product screens, components, and interfaces with a focus on visual hierarchy, color, typography, and spacing.
• Utilize Qt’s shared design system by consistently applying existing components and design tokens.
• Detect and communicate edge cases or deficiencies within the design system.
• Develop visual materials for marketing, documentation, and educational content.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers and engineers.
• Articulate design decisions and set clear expectations for implementation.
• Provide support to engineers throughout the delivery process, including during implementation, not just at handoff.
• Transform UX concepts and interaction decisions into refined, cohesive visual designs.
• Ensure visual quality remains consistent across different product surfaces.
• Senior: Establish and uphold the visual direction for designated product areas.
• Senior: Assist the broader team in understanding and applying established visual standards.
• Senior: Participate in the development and governance of the shared design system.
• Senior: Evaluate component usage, identify inconsistencies, and document design decisions.
• Senior: Suggest improvements to the component library when product needs are unmet.
• Senior: Maintain visual consistency across multiple evolving products.
• Senior: Recognize dependencies and potential design conflicts across adjacent product areas.
• Senior: Engage UX partners early to influence UX and visual design collaboration.
• Regular: Minimum of 2 years of experience in visual and UI design.
• Regular: A portfolio showcasing strong visual execution across product interfaces and accompanying visual assets.
• Regular: Experience working with an established, multi-product design system.
• Regular: Proficient in Figma.
• Regular: Capable of effective collaboration with UX designers and engineers.
• Regular: Ability to clearly articulate design intent during handoff and implementation.
• Regular: Confidence in translating UX intent into visual design without unnecessarily redefining interactions.
• Senior: Minimum of 5 years of experience in visual and UI design.
• Senior: A portfolio demonstrating strong hands-on design abilities and the capability to maintain quality at a system level.
• Senior: Proven track record of contributing to and governing a large, multi-product design system.
• Senior: Professional-level skills in Figma.
• Senior: Ability to communicate and rationalize design decisions to engineers throughout the delivery process.
• Senior: Experience working within larger product teams, responsible for cross-product consistency and systemic design thinking.
• Senior: Ability to comprehend how individual design decisions impact related products, components, and workflows.
