This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Oversee the implementation of individualized giving strategies throughout the region.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage Market Leaders who supervise frontline fundraising teams and market revenue.
• Lead, coach, and manage a nationally distributed organization of specialized relationship fundraisers.
• Facilitate the transition from a generalist coverage model to a focused, donor-centric relationship approach.
• Ensure effective portfolio management and execution of donor strategies across various markets.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and nurture a portfolio of Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) and High Net Worth (HNW) individuals.
• Represent the American Cancer Society to essential individual investors.
• Foster cross-functional alignment among development, mission, marketing, communications, and operations teams.
• Guide volunteer and governance engagement through CEOs Against Cancer chapters, Area Boards, and other frameworks.
• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for revenue, pipeline development, and donor engagement.
• Instill accountability and promote continuous improvement across teams.
• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10-12+ years of experience in fundraising.
• At least 8-10 years in a managerial capacity.
• Proven leadership in achieving fundraising results across diverse communities.
• Strong understanding of regional mission delivery and income development strategies.
• Proficiency in principal gift strategy, portfolio management, and engaging high-capacity donors.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence various stakeholder groups.
• Capacity to drive alignment and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in building high-performing, inclusive, and accountable team cultures.
• Skills in relationship building, negotiation, and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Exceptional relationship management and influencing capabilities with donors, volunteers, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and performance management abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including evenings and weekends as needed.
