Senior Vice President, Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee project managers executing extensive data center campus constructions.

• Mentor and support the professional development of project managers.

• Establish project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resources for intricate data center programs.

• Create and apply project management strategies and methodologies for multi-phase data center construction projects.

• Supervise campus-scale project execution to ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and of high quality.

• Collaborate with clients and various stakeholders to ensure project alignment with client objectives.

• Promote teamwork with cross-functional teams both locally and globally throughout all delivery phases.

• Identify and seek new business opportunities in the data center industry alongside the business development team.

• Contribute to the growth of the PDS team and the development of client relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.

• Over 15 years of experience in project management.

• Proven success in delivering complex, large-scale data center campus builds or programs.

• Extensive practical experience managing data center campus constructions, including multiple data halls, support buildings, and critical infrastructure across multi-phase development initiatives.

• Expertise in coordinating utility infrastructure, power distribution systems, cooling plants, and site-wide MEP systems.

• Experience overseeing multi-building data center developments from design through commissioning and handover.

• Proven leadership in managing high-performing teams.

• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.

• Experience implementing process improvements on campus-scale developments.

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing substantial project budgets ($100M+) and financial reporting.

• Excellent client management skills, particularly with data center clients and hyperscalers.

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

• Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant discipline.

• Preferred: Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, Six Sigma, or CDCP.

• Preferred: Experience delivering hyperscale data center campuses exceeding 100MW.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier Standards and Tier III/IV certifications.

• Preferred: Experience within global organizations and multicultural teams.

• Preferred: Knowledge of project management software and data center construction technologies.

• Preferred: Business development experience in securing data center project opportunities.

• Preferred: Understanding of data center design standards, MEP systems, power distribution, cooling systems, and commissioning processes.

• Preferred: Familiarity with fast-track delivery, modular construction, and prefabrication strategies.
