
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, M&A, Strategy β Renewable Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.
β’ Act as a primary advisor to the CEO and Board regarding growth strategies, capital distribution, market consolidation trends, and strategic financing options.
β’ Oversee the entire M&A process, which includes sourcing transactions, conducting due diligence, financial assessment, contract negotiations, structuring, and finalizing platform acquisitions, project portfolios, and corporate divestitures.
β’ Develop and sustain multi-year capital allocation models.
β’ Analyze corporate capital raises, joint ventures, preferred equity, tax equity, and growth equity frameworks.
β’ Create Board presentations, Investment Committee documents, and financial models such as DCF, IRR, ROIC, and sensitivity analyses.
β’ Deliver recommendations directly to executive leadership, lenders, and investors.
β’ Identify and nurture high-level partnerships with developers, infrastructure funds, utilities, tax equity providers, lenders, and advisors.
β’ Evaluate technical, financial, and regulatory risks across development assets, interconnection queues, PPAs, subscriber portfolios, and BESS.
β’ Direct the post-acquisition integration office to incorporate acquired platforms, operational teams, and asset portfolios.
β’ Mentor and develop a high-performing corporate development and strategy team.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related area.
β’ At least 15 years of experience in corporate development, M&A, renewable energy, infrastructure investing, private equity, investment banking, or project finance.
β’ A minimum of 7β10 years of direct experience with renewable energy transactions, focusing significantly on community solar, distributed generation, and energy storage.
β’ Demonstrated success in managing complex corporate acquisitions, platform roll-ups, portfolio buyouts, and joint ventures in the clean energy sector.
β’ Extensive knowledge in project finance modeling, debt structuring, tax equity, corporate capital raises, and underwriting standards.
β’ Profound understanding of community solar economics, subscriber acquisition/management models, state-level regulatory programs, interconnection, EPC frameworks, Investment Tax Credits (ITC), and supply chain compliance (including FEOC standards).
β’ Significant experience in preparing materials for and delivering presentations to Boards of Directors, Investment Committees, and institutional investors.
β’ MBA, CFA designation, or advanced technical/financial qualifications are preferred.
β’ Practical leadership in post-acquisition integration, platform optimization, and organizational scaling is preferred.
β’ Knowledge in solar-plus-storage optimization and emerging merchant/ancillary market revenue models for BESS is preferred.
