
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, M&A, Strategy – Renewable Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.
• Act as a primary advisor to the CEO and Board regarding growth strategies, capital distribution, consolidation trends, and strategic financing options.
• Oversee comprehensive M&A processes, which include sourcing transactions, conducting due diligence, performing financial valuations, negotiating contracts, structuring deals, and finalizing acquisitions for platform entities, project portfolios, and corporate carve-outs.
• Develop and sustain multi-year capital allocation models.
• Analyze corporate capital raises, joint ventures, preferred equity, tax equity, and growth equity frameworks to facilitate portfolio objectives.
• Prepare Board presentations, Investment Committee documents, and financial models such as DCF, IRR, ROIC, and sensitivity assessments.
• Deliver recommendations directly to executive management, lenders, and investors.
• Identify and nurture partnerships with developers, infrastructure funds, utilities, tax equity providers, lenders, and consultants.
• Evaluate technical, financial, and regulatory risks associated with development assets, interconnection queues, PPAs, subscriber portfolios, and BESS.
• Direct the post-acquisition integration office to assimilate acquired platforms, operational teams, and asset portfolios.
• Guide and develop the corporate development and strategy team.
• Drive corporate growth initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation, and long-term value enhancement for PureSky Energy throughout North America.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in corporate development, M&A, renewable energy, infrastructure investment, private equity, investment banking, or project finance.
• A minimum of 7–10 years of hands-on experience in renewable energy transactions, particularly in community solar, distributed generation, and energy storage.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex corporate acquisitions, platform roll-ups, portfolio buyouts, and joint ventures within the clean energy sector.
• Proficient in project finance modeling, debt structuring, tax equity, corporate capital raises, and underwriting standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of community solar economics, subscriber acquisition and management models, state-level regulatory initiatives, interconnection, EPC frameworks, Investment Tax Credits (ITC), and supply chain compliance (including FEOC standards).
• Extensive experience in preparing materials for and presenting to Boards of Directors, Investment Committees, and institutional investors.
• MBA, CFA designation, or advanced technical/financial qualifications are preferred.
• Hands-on experience in post-acquisition integration, platform optimization, and scaling organizations is preferred.
• Knowledge in solar-plus-storage optimization and emerging merchant/ancillary market revenue models for BESS is preferred.
