Senior UX Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create scalable, interactive, and community-oriented online learning experiences utilized by Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, and training organizations.

• Lead 1-2 significant projects concurrently as the design lead, guiding solutions from initial problem identification through to final execution.

• Collaborate with product management to define problems, outline project scope, explore design strategies, and provide recommendations.

• Deliver production-ready mockups and assets while working closely with engineers to ensure a balance of quality and practicality.

• Conduct user research and usability assessments to validate design choices and comprehend user objectives.

• Coordinate with stakeholders, propose solutions, and adapt project scope in response to challenges.

• Contribute to discussions regarding product strategy and roadmap development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing products that have been utilized by end users and clients on a large scale.

• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex real-world challenges using strategic thought and elegant, user-centered design solutions.

• Proficient in wireframing, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, user interviews, and usability evaluations.

• Advanced skills in Figma, including features like components and design libraries.

• Experience in maintaining visual and interaction consistency by adhering to established design systems and contributing to their enhancement.

• Strong foundation in visual design with meticulous attention to detail and pixel-perfect execution.

• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and principles of inclusive design.

• Experience in designing responsive web and mobile experiences.

• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and the constraints of development.

• Previous experience designing AI-driven features that improve user workflows and personalize experiences is advantageous.

• Knowledge of GenAI tools to streamline workflows is a plus.

• Capacity to independently manage projects from problem identification to execution.

• Ability to cultivate stakeholder relationships and make decisions without constant oversight.

• Comfort in navigating uncertainty during initial exploration phases and translating ambiguous requirements into actionable design directives.

• Capability to build effective relationships with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers.

• Proficient in articulating complex concepts clearly and facilitating constructive discussions.

• Flexibility to adapt to new information or shifting priorities.

• Ability to balance data-driven decision-making with cognitive empathy.
