Senior Utilization Management Assistant – Per Diem, Variable

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist the Care Management team in coordinating patient care.

• Collaborate effectively as a member of the healthcare team.

• Execute complex tasks related to the overall functions and activities of the team.

• Facilitate actions identified during the initial and ongoing assessment and management of patients.

• Operate under the supervision of the Regional Director of Care Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital, clinical setting, or healthcare-related field.

• At least 3 years of proven exceptional customer service experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of clerical and computer experience.

• 3 years of familiarity with insurance billing and managed care.

• Some college-level coursework, a high school diploma, or GED equivalent is preferred, especially in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance coursework.

• Education or experience in Medical Terminology or as a Medical Assistant, or equivalent.

• CHAA certification or equivalent education/experience.

• If in California, CHAA certification must be obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire.

• Preferred 3 years of experience with EPIC Case Management and ADT Patient Access.
