Senior Utilization Management Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist the Care Management team in coordinating patient care.

• Collaborate effectively as a member of the healthcare team.

• Execute complex tasks that support the overall functions and activities of the team.

• Aid in the activities identified during both initial and ongoing patient assessments and management.

• Operate under the guidance of the Regional Director of Care Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital, clinical setting, or healthcare-related field.

• At least 3 years demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.

• 3 years of clerical and computer experience.

• 3 years of familiarity with insurance billing and managed care processes.

• Some college coursework or equivalent education/experience is preferred.

• Knowledge in Medical Terminology, Medical Assistant, high school diploma or GED equivalent, or some college coursework is preferred.

• CHAA certification or equivalent education/experience is preferred.

• CHAA certification must be obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire if in California.

• 3 years of experience with EPIC Case Management and ADT Patient Access is preferred.
