Senior Utilization Management Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist the Care Management team in the coordination of patient care.

• Collaborate closely as a member of the healthcare team.

• Execute complex tasks associated with overall team functions and activities.

• Facilitate activities identified during both the initial and ongoing assessment and management of patients.

• Operate under the guidance of the Regional Director of Care Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital, clinical setting, or healthcare-related field.

• At least 3 years of proven exceptional customer service experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of clerical and computer-related experience.

• 3 years of familiarity with insurance billing and managed care processes.

• Some college-level coursework or equivalent education/experience is preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, with some college-level coursework preferred, especially in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant studies.

• Coursework in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant or equivalent education/experience is preferred.

• Completion of CHAA coursework or equivalent education/experience is preferred.

• CHAA certification must be obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire if located in California.

• Preferred 3 years of experience with EPIC Case Management and ADT Patient Access.

• Availability for full-time 8-hour day shifts is required.
