This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Analyze clinical, histopathological, and spatial transcriptomics data within the Bioptimus data corpus to explore tumor biology.
• Identify new biomarkers that can predict treatment responses or resistance.
• Contribute to Bioptimus' R&D mission aimed at understanding the complexities of human biology.
• Oversee model development and interpretability while designing features that are pertinent to clinical outcomes.
• Work alongside the Clinical Data Manager to ensure data is aligned with intended discoveries.
• Keep abreast of advancements in oncology, immunology modalities, and developments in clinical decision-making.
• Deliver a translational research presentation to AI researchers and computational biologists.
• May be required to complete a technical assessment.
• Collaborate with hospitals, biobanks, researchers, and engineers on a global scale.
• Possession of an advanced degree in clinical science (PhD, PharmD, MD), such as cancer biology, molecular biology, genomics, or a related discipline; or an MD with a robust oncology background and familiarity with computational concepts.
• Strong knowledge of cancer biology, tumor evolution, immune microenvironments, therapeutic mechanisms, response and resistance biology, and patient outcomes.
• Comprehensive understanding of clinical trials and the oncology drug development process.
• Proven experience in analyzing biological samples for biomarker discovery and tailored treatments.
• Exceptional communication skills and a readiness to collaborate with AI researchers and computational biologists.
• Ideally, possess in-depth expertise in colorectal cancer or lung cancer, supported by relevant project experience.
• Familiarity with clinical, medical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors.
• Demonstrated history of lead-author publications in cancer biology or oncology in high-impact journals.
• Experience with at least one analysis modality: H&E, bulk-RNAseq, spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, single-cell RNA-seq, or high-content/pooled perturbation screens.
• Ability to utilize Python and reproducible computational workflows to analyze intricate, longitudinal clinical datasets.
• Knowledge or experience with small molecules, nucleic acids, peptides, enzymes, antibodies, cell therapies, and stem cell treatments.
• Understanding of clinical trial governance and healthcare regulations.
