Senior Training and Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver both virtual and in-person technical training sessions.

• Develop lesson plans, presentations, user guides, exercises, job aids, and reference materials.

• Assess training requirements and propose suitable learning solutions.

• Conduct training on GIS applications, workflows, data management, and associated business processes.

• Revise training materials in response to changes in systems, processes, and requirements.

• Create user manuals, quick-reference guides, and standard operating procedures.

• Assess the effectiveness of training and integrate user feedback for improvements.

• Offer technical support to users following their training sessions.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and client teams to transform technical processes into accessible training materials for end users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Information Technology, Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in developing and delivering technical training.

• Skilled in creating training materials, presentations, and user documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capable of conveying technical information to users with varying levels of experience.

• Ability to fulfill relevant client access requirements.

• Experience in providing GIS or software application training.

• Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS applications.

• Background in developing training for enterprise or government systems.

• Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

• Strong presentation and facilitation capabilities.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended durations.

• Proficient in typing and reading from a computer screen.

• Adequate mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling.

• Capability to walk moderate to long distances when necessary.

• Potential to lift up to 25 lbs.
