Senior Training and Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on technical training sessions.

• Develop lesson plans, presentations, user guides, exercises, job aids, and reference materials.

• Assess training needs and suggest suitable learning solutions.

• Deliver training on GIS applications, workflows, data management, and pertinent business processes.

• Revise training materials as systems, processes, and requirements evolve.

• Create user manuals, quick-reference guides, and standard operating procedures.

• Measure training effectiveness and integrate user feedback into future sessions.

• Offer technical support to users after training completion.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and client teams to transform technical processes into accessible training materials for end users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Information Technology, Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.

• Skilled in creating training materials, presentations, and user documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to convey technical information to users with varying experience levels.

• Ability to fulfill relevant client access requirements.

• Experience in providing GIS or software application training.

• Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS applications.

• Background in developing training for enterprise or government systems.

• Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

• Strong presentation and facilitation capabilities.

• Capacity to sit or stand for prolonged periods.

• Proficient in typing and reading from a computer screen.

• Adequate mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling.

• Ability to walk moderate to long distances when necessary.

• Potential to lift up to 25 lbs.
