Senior Title Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Maintain a thorough understanding of Texas title laws and the latest state and federal regulations.

• Review abstracts to identify title issues that necessitate further information or resolution.

• Collaborate with sellers, attorneys, underwriting counsel, and other title agencies to gather necessary documentation.

• Address vesting issues, judgments, and various title defects.

• Draft title clearance affidavits and Hold Harmless Agreements.

• Request payoffs for liens and judgments, including mortgages.

• Advise the team on curative solutions and assess title insurability.

• Communicate title requirements to Closing Specialists and Closing Coordinators.

• Provide timely status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Issue internal notifications once files are completely curative.

• Act as the primary escalation point for customer and vendor Title issues.

• Collaborate with the Manager to recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Texas Title license (mandatory).

• Must reside and work within the state of Texas.

• Over 5 years of experience in title examination and curative processes.

• Proven experience in building and leading teams in a dynamic environment.

• Experience in managing performance to meet high standards.

• Awareness of the essential role a title specialist plays in a collaborative industry.

• Familiarity with Qualia, Slack, and Microsoft applications is beneficial.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Strong ability to multitask.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new programs and systems.
