Senior Test Engineer – Revenue & Financial Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

• Validate revenue calculations, financial formulas, and ensure data accuracy.

• Investigate discrepancies in financial data to identify root causes.

• Analyze application behavior, database records, and API responses.

• Execute comprehensive regression testing for production releases.

• Verify bug fixes and deliver timely feedback to engineering teams.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Engineers throughout the development lifecycle.

• Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.

• Work autonomously to promote quality throughout the sprint.

• Identify potential risks and contribute to the enhancement of QA processes.

• Assist with future test automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance.

• Strong experience with SQL for database validation.

• Experience in testing REST APIs using Postman.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in validating complex business logic, calculations, or financial data.

• Ability to investigate issues beyond standard test execution.

• Understanding of expected versus incorrect system behavior.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to software quality.

• Strong communication skills and capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.

• Familiarity with test automation using Playwright is a plus.

• Experience with TypeScript is advantageous.

• Knowledge of PostHog, Sentry, and Datadog is beneficial.

• Experience in financial or accounting systems is a plus.
