Senior Test Engineer – Revenue & Financial Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough manual testing of newly implemented features, enhancements, and bug resolutions.

• Ensure accuracy in revenue calculations, financial formulas, and data integrity with exceptional attention to detail.

• Investigate financial data discrepancies and identify their root causes.

• Analyze application performance, database entries, and API responses.

• Carry out comprehensive regression testing for production releases.

• Confirm bug fixes and provide prompt feedback to engineering teams.

• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers and Software Engineers throughout the development process.

• Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.

• Work autonomously to promote quality assurance throughout the sprint.

• Recognize potential risks and contribute to enhancements in the QA process.

• Assist in future test automation endeavors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance.

• Strong background in SQL for database validation.

• Experience in testing REST APIs using Postman.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven experience in validating intricate business logic, calculations, or financial information.

• Capable of investigating issues beyond typical test execution.

• Understanding of expected versus erroneous system behavior.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to software quality.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Experience working within Agile Scrum teams.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Preferred: Experience with test automation using Playwright.

• Preferred: Familiarity with TypeScript.

• Preferred: Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as PostHog, Sentry, and Datadog.

• Preferred: Experience in financial or accounting systems.
