Senior Test Engineer – Enterprise Heat Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Review and assess system specifications and user stories to comprehend software requirements

• Assist in designing comprehensive and well-structured test documentation

• Set up testing environments, including all necessary software and hardware

• Utilize test design techniques to formulate robust test cases and enhance test coverage

• Perform manual functional, integration, and regression testing

• Identify, log, and monitor defects within a bug tracking system

• Re-evaluate defect fixes and enhancements

• Validate test outcomes against acceptance criteria and user expectations

• Relay test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders

• Document comprehensive testing reports and offer feedback on usability, performance, and software quality

• Evaluate current processes, pinpoint areas for improvement, and adjust workflows to meet project requirements

• Collaborate with the team to ensure product quality

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies

• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management systems

• In-depth knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing

• Good grasp of Agile testing practices and environments (Agile, Scrum)

• Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or comparable

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English

• Basic understanding of scripting or programming languages (a plus)

• Basic experience with Unix platforms (a plus)
