Senior Test Automation Engineer – Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the enterprise Test Automation Strategy, including a roadmap and adoption plan.

• Design, architect, and oversee the creation of scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks across UI, API, data, and end-to-end testing layers.

• Conduct Automation Maturity Assessments and formulate transformation strategies.

• Provide governance and oversight for automation projects, including planning, design reviews, code quality standards, and best practices for implementation.

• Integrate automation solutions within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.

• Define, monitor, and report on automation KPIs, ROI metrics, productivity improvements, test coverage, execution efficiency, and quality results.

• Collaborate with client stakeholders, delivery teams, and engineering leaders.

• Assess emerging technologies and introduce innovative automation solutions and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation.

• Extensive experience in automation architecture and leadership roles focused on transformation.

• Strong proficiency in designing enterprise-level automation frameworks utilizing Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Tosca, Rest Assured, Karate, or comparable technologies.

• Proven track record of implementing Continuous Testing in CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.

• Practical knowledge of DevOps practices, test data management, service virtualization, cloud-native testing, and modern quality engineering methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct automation maturity assessments, create business cases for automation, and present ROI metrics to executive stakeholders.

• Exceptional skills in stakeholder management, consulting, communication, and leadership.

• Preferred: Experience with AI-driven testing and intelligent test automation solutions.

• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Preferred: Expertise in performance, API, and data validation automation.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and SAFe delivery methodologies.

• Preferred: Experience in Quality Engineering transformation and operating model design.
