Senior Test Automation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and sustain scalable automation frameworks that are easy to maintain.

• Construct automation solutions from the ground up.

• Establish testing strategies and determine test coverage.

• Create tests for web applications and APIs.

• Plan and execute both automated and manual tests, including functional, exploratory, and regression testing.

• Identify potential risks and defects.

• Utilize production incidents to broaden test coverage.

• Implement a Shift-Left culture starting at the requirements refinement stage.

• Integrate test suites within CI/CD pipelines.

• Assist in automating quality processes.

• Contribute to ongoing improvements and ensure delivery reliability.

• Prepare and manage test data for execution.

• Aid in test result analysis and the management of defects and test cases.

• Act as a technical reference in quality assurance and automation.

• Mentor Junior and Mid-Level QA professionals.

• Advocate for best practices.

• Collaborate with Development, Product, Product Owners, Tech Leads, and other teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in test automation.

• Strong experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver.

• Experience in automating UI and API tests.

• Familiarity with RestAssured.

• Experience in creating, structuring, or enhancing automation frameworks.

• Practical experience with functional, exploratory, and regression testing.

• Understanding of OOP and design patterns.

• Knowledge of BDD, Gherkin, and Cucumber.

• Proficient in Git.

• Familiar with CI/CD processes.

• Knowledgeable in SQL.

• Familiarity with JSON and YAML.

• Experience with test management tools like Jira and Xray.

• Possess analytical and critical-thinking skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrate autonomy and proactivity.

• Capable of assertive communication.

• Ability to translate technical issues into business risks.

• Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

• Ability to mentor others and share knowledge effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Preferred qualifications: experience in performance and load testing using JMeter or K6; knowledge of application security; experience with microservices, distributed architectures, serverless, and cloud-native environments; experience in cloud environments; experience in implementing automation in projects lacking prior automation; knowledge of Generative AI applied to testing; ISTQB, CSTE, or similar certifications.
