Senior Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in the development lifecycle from the refinement phase, challenging business rules, evaluating testability, and converting acceptance criteria into verifiable scenarios.

• Strategize and implement projects by crafting and executing thorough test plans while adhering to deadlines and acceptance criteria.

• Utilize risk-based testing, prioritizing efforts based on business significance, technical complexity, and defect history.

• Lead the testing strategy across various products and modules, encompassing unit, integration, contract, UI, E2E, and non-functional testing.

• Design, advance, and scale automation frameworks and infrastructure, ensuring reusability, parallel execution, and reproducible environments.

• Advocate for best practices in version control within automated test repositories.

• Establish quality gates in CI/CD pipelines, incorporating static analysis, coverage, and performance thresholds.

• Propose, document, and enhance Software Quality standards, templates, and policies, including guidelines for using AI in testing.

• Implement AI for assisted test-suite generation, regression prioritization, failure triage, and defect analysis, ensuring human validation and safeguarding sensitive data.

• Assess and recommend tools and technologies via proofs of concept.

• Define strategies for test-data and test-environment management.

• Spearhead measurable process-optimization initiatives to minimize lead time, flaky tests, and rework.

• Mentor Junior and Mid-Level Analysts through code reviews and internal training sessions.

• Counsel developers on testability, unit testing, and integration testing.

• Assist leadership in articulating quality risks to Product, Architecture, Operations, and clients.

• Occasionally create solution packages, assist in customer configuration, and conduct training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality, with a robust background in test automation and non-functional testing.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.

• In-depth hands-on experience applying various testing approaches and techniques in highly complex environments and projects.

• Proficient in at least one programming language: C# or Python; and knowledgeable in design patterns.

• Experience in creating and maintaining custom frameworks, shared libraries, and distributed execution strategies.

• Advanced knowledge of code version-control models, such as Git Flow.

• Practical experience with UI testing (Playwright), API testing (REST Assured, Playwright API, or Postman), contract testing, and mobile testing where applicable.

• Proven hands-on experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), complete with quality gates and parallel execution.

• Familiarity with Docker and basic knowledge of Kubernetes; experience with cloud-based test infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Hands-on experience in implementing and executing performance and load tests (k6, JMeter), resilience testing, and application security fundamentals.

• Experience in testing APIs, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and integrations with legacy systems.

• Capability to conduct defect investigations, generate test data, and validate calculations using advanced SQL.

• Practical experience with prompt engineering, integrating LLMs into testing workflows, and critically assessing results.

• Experience in environments utilizing agile frameworks.

• CTFL or higher software testing certification.

• Background in regulated environments and insurance-industry systems.

• Basic English proficiency for reading and understanding training materials.
