Senior Territory Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create a yearly territory strategy that aligns with the growth and profitability objectives of the region and the company.

• Perform weekly visits to agencies and occasionally travel overnight for trade shows, conventions, and internal meetings.

• Develop annual agency business plans that include actionable steps to meet company goals.

• Manage relationships within the assigned agency network concerning company products while promoting submission activity and profitable premium growth.

• Build essential partnerships with independent agencies to enhance relationships between carriers and agencies.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide an outstanding customer experience.

• Supervise assigned agencies and identify potential new agency partners.

• Keep the team updated on industry trends through contacts with independent agents and participation in insurance industry meetings and conventions.

• Timely complete weekly call reports, expense reports, and other administrative tasks.

• Support special assignments and projects as requested by AMERISAFE leadership.

• Coach and mentor junior sales team members.

• Promote AMERISAFE’s culture through principles of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership, and service.

• Report to the Regional Vice President of Sales and collaborate with underwriting, safety, marketing, and other AMERISAFE departments to reach sales and production targets.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance sales.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial insurance sector.

• Strong understanding of agency and wholesaler operations.

• Capability to manage a remote territory with minimal supervision.

• Problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership regarding issues or requests.

• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.

• Strong customer service skills and a customer-centric mindset.

• Ability to exhibit integrity, team spirit, enthusiasm, trustworthiness, and credibility.

• Business acumen to engage effectively with personnel at all levels and represent the company professionally.

• Quick to absorb information and apply it to current business contexts.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant industry experience is acceptable.

• Willingness to travel weekly to agencies, with occasional overnight travel for trade shows, conventions, and internal meetings.

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, a 10-panel drug test, and a motor vehicle report review if applicable.
