
Senior Territory Representative – Companion Animal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Promote and sell the Companion Animal product portfolio of the Animal Health division throughout the Northern New Jersey region.
• Recognize and assess the needs of veterinary clinics, shelter facilities, and corporate account customers.
• Articulate the value of the product portfolio during tailored discussions with customers.
• Act as the main point of contact for designated customers, engaging with key personnel and decision-makers.
• Create customer strategies, territory plans, and account management plans.
• Collaborate with National Account Managers, the Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners.
• Work in conjunction with species teams to enhance understanding of the complete Animal Health product range.
• Share insights and knowledge with regional team members to promote collective growth and development.
• Review monthly sales performance and manage expenses in accordance with budgetary constraints.
• Identify programs and services that meet customer needs, providing educational resources and training.
• Develop and present relevant customer solutions in partnership with leadership and Field Professional Services.
• Stay informed about Animal Health products, industry developments, and competitive landscape.
• Relay insights on customers, industry, products, and market trends across the organization.
• Establish and achieve learning and development goals in coordination with leadership.
• Assist in executing pull-through activities, identifying sales opportunities, facilitating account growth, and delivering customer value.
• High school diploma with a minimum of ten (10) years of sales or equivalent experience OR a bachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of sales experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Driven and focused on achieving measurable and tangible outcomes.
• Dedication to teamwork and collaboration.
• Capability to comprehend customers’ changing needs and leverage organizational knowledge to achieve results.
• Effective use of various selling techniques and methods.
• Proficiency in managing multiple customers/accounts at various stages of the sales process.
• Skill in identifying, developing, and independently managing diverse account mixes within a territory, including complex accounts.
• Competency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and iPad functionality.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to travel overnight and participate in occasional weekend events.
• Preferred experience in sales and/or the Animal Health industry.
• Familiarity with animal health biological and pharmaceutical products is preferred.
• Understanding or prior experience with Distribution is preferred.
• Multilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish, is preferred.
• A valid driving license is required.
