Senior Territory Manager, Eyecare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments to enhance sales effectiveness.

• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while securing logical, reasonable calls to action to conclude sales discussions successfully.

• Attend to customer needs, expectations, and challenges to cultivate trustworthy relationships and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

• Formulate and implement call plans that meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency with key clients.

• Gain insight into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, diseases, products, clinical knowledge, and sales expertise.

• Communicate market intelligence to the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to synchronize strategy and foresee environmental shifts and challenges.

• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.

• Identify, develop, and sustain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to enhance brand performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Any governmental and/or legal certification requirements as mandated by the respective country’s laws and/or regulations (if applicable).

• A Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or an equivalent qualification.

• Demonstrated history of success in sales.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.

• Strong business sense.

• Proficient in utilizing business tools.

• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.

• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and swiftly adapt all elements of the sales approach.

• Capability to work effectively within a matrix environment.

• Proven sales achievements in relevant therapeutic areas preferred.

• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing preferred.

• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written, preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
