This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more states.
• Provide guidance to account managers, accounting teams, and management regarding optimal practices for managing billing disputes.
• Engage in negotiations with customers and carriers based on contractual agreements and industry standards.
• Detect, analyze, and address fraudulent activities and billing inaccuracies involving vendors and customers.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of customer and vendor disputes, encompassing intake, tracking, and documented resolutions.
• Address discrepancies, overcharges, and outstanding balances caused by various factors including quantities, rates, currency, and other underlying issues.
• Examine call and messaging data to uncover billing inconsistencies and potential fraud indicators.
• Create dashboards that communicate metrics related to the dispute lifecycle.
• Review contracts and interpret the differences between expected and actual invoices.
• Facilitate negotiations for dispute resolutions, settlements, and payment arrangements.
• Collaborate with data analytics, engineering, and accounting teams to ensure account reconciliation.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in telecom billing, revenue assurance, wholesale SMS billing settlements, and/or CPaaS fraud operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven experience in constructively negotiating disputes with customers or vendors.
• Background in collections, dispute resolution, or billing analysis.
• Project management experience.
• Proficient in data manipulation using Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, or SQL.
• Familiarity with the A2P SMS ecosystem, international traffic routing, IRSF, AIT, and ecosystem profit chains.
• Knowledge of AIT and industry standards for fraud handling from organizations such as i3forum, GSMA, MEF, or ITW Global Leaders’ Forum.
• Understanding of Call Detail Records and the capability to build robust dispute case files.
• Experience with workflow platforms like Airtable or in creating dashboards.
• Background in the telecom, technology, or consulting sectors.
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques such as Python or scripting.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools.
