This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Design the infrastructure for voice/data telecommunications cabling, outside plant systems, audio/visual setups, mass notification systems, digital signage, card access security, CCTV security, video management, and video storage
• Prepare engineering documentation and equipment specifications in line with the contracted scope of work
• Implement principles of telecommunications, audio/visual, security, and networking
• Keep updated on relevant design standards
• Generate estimates for the assigned scope of work and ensure adherence to project scope
• Develop comprehensive project plans and timelines
• Act as project manager for complete technology-based projects when designated
• Proactively manage assigned projects and drive them to successful completion
• Delegate tasks, follow up, and personally carry out work as necessary
• Assist in business development through proposal contributions and meetings with prospective and current clients
• Provide guidance to team members and subcontractors
• Approve final selections for equipment and drawing submissions
• Offer technical and engineering support to other departments and disciplines
• Communicate and manage customer expectations both internally and externally
• Foster a collaborative team environment
• Work may take place at construction sites with challenging terrain
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• A technical degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or extensive experience in related design and engineering fields
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant technical design experience in various healthcare facilities
• Strong expertise in low-voltage systems design within the core discipline
• Knowledge and experience with industry design standards such as RCDD, TIA/EIA, CPTED, CPP, PSP, NEC, and NFPA
• In-depth knowledge of technology and its application in a business context
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences, transform ideas into actionable recommendations, and positively influence outcomes
• Strong skills in planning, analysis, organization, and problem-solving
• High attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities
• May involve up to 25% domestic travel
• Preferred RCDD Certification and/or additional industry-recognized certifications are advantageous
• Proven track record of building strong client relationships and establishing credibility with both internal and external stakeholders
• Basic understanding of Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Structural Engineering construction practices
