This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.
• Convert business product strategy into actionable technical outcomes.
• Oversee intricate product backlogs and facilitate tactical implementation.
• Guide junior TPOs and mentor them in story crafting, requirements, acceptance standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Develop solutions that incorporate AI capabilities such as LLMs, RAG, and agents when suitable.
• Utilize AI tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude for generating code, creating tests, documentation, and learning purposes.
• Write AI-compatible Given-When-Then/Gherkin requirements.
• Assess AI outputs and refine team practices for prompt design, evaluation, and safety measures.
• Create detailed user stories and establish acceptance criteria that encompass happy paths, edge cases, errors, integrations, security, performance, and compliance.
• Supply sample data, API specifications, and reference implementations.
• Document dependencies, integration points, and system interactions.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, technical leads, Scrum Masters, developers, QA engineers, and designers.
• Review and accept finalized stories and confirm production readiness.
• Test functionality against Given-When-Then scenarios and integration points.
• Work with QA on acceptance criteria and automated testing methodologies.
• Own, sustain, prioritize, and organize backlogs across teams or intricate product domains.
• Develop release plans and identify or escalate strategic risks and challenges.
• Lead sprint planning, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Present completed tasks and communicate sprint progress, release readiness, and potential risks.
• Facilitate sessions for requirement discovery and lead User Acceptance Testing.
• Negotiate scope, priorities, and trade-offs.
• Review stories from junior team members and contribute to hiring, onboarding, training, and community activities.
• Promote the adoption of tools, methodologies, and practices that enhance delivery effectiveness.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience as a TPO, Business Analyst, or Technical Product Owner within Agile teams.
• At least 3–5 years at the senior or lead level handling complex, enterprise-scale products.
• Expertise in crafting detailed user stories with thorough acceptance criteria using the Given-When-Then format.
• Strong experience in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Advanced technical knowledge in system architecture, data models, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Demonstrated leadership within Agile/Scrum teams.
• High proficiency with Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in mentoring junior team members.
• Preferred: CSPO, A-CSPO, CPO, or PMI-ACP certification.
• Preferred: Familiarity with BDD tools (Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave).
• Preferred: Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.).
• Preferred: Understanding of test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Preferred: Background in software development, architecture, or QA.
• Preferred: Experience leading product ownership across multiple teams.
