This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Transform intricate capabilities of the Couchbase platform into unique positioning and messaging tailored for technical buyers and influencers.
• Create solution briefs, reference architectures, whitepapers, benchmark and TCO validations, blog entries, and technical FAQs.
• Design and sustain product demonstrations and hands-on proof assets.
• Collaborate with Field Engineering on POC playbooks and enablement initiatives.
• Perform hands-on technical analyses of competing databases and data platforms.
• Develop battlecards, win themes, and materials for handling objections.
• Provide Sales and Sales Engineering teams with technical resources, communication strategies, and training.
• Represent Couchbase in webinars, conferences, developer communities, and analyst briefings.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to affirm messaging and influence launch strategies.
• Incorporate customer and field insights into the product roadmap.
• Over 6 years of experience in technical product marketing, developer relations, solutions/sales engineering, or a similar technical enterprise software position.
• Ideally possesses experience in databases, data infrastructure, or cloud environments.
• Technical proficiency in NoSQL and SQL databases, distributed systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Capability to interpret architecture diagrams and compose queries or code snippets.
• Proven experience in creating demos and technical content for specialized audiences.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with competitive positioning and sales enablement in a B2B technical product context.
• Confidence in presenting to technical audiences both on stage and on camera.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with Couchbase, MongoDB, or other NoSQL/document databases.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of AI/ML, vector search, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to mobile/edge or real-time analytics workloads.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in marketing to developers and cultivating technical communities.
