This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Spearhead the product vision and roadmap to separate core data ingestion modules from operational API boundaries into scalable, independent microservices.
• Transform event-driven and streaming ingestion pipelines using technologies like Kafka and Spark Structured Streaming.
• Establish API contracts, event interfaces, and integration specifications for HL7 v2, C-CDA, FHIR JSON, and claims payloads.
• Outline requirements for migrating analytics pipelines to Databricks/Medallion Architecture utilizing Apache Spark.
• Propel optimized Silver and Gold layer datasets with Delta Lake/Parquet columnar models.
• Strike a balance between real-time low-latency micro-batches and cost-effective daily batch workloads.
• Take ownership of product requirements for the FHIR-native Master Data Management Engine.
• Define both deterministic and probabilistic patient matching rules and survivorship logic for Golden Records.
• Design crosswalk management for source-to-target entity linkages.
• Develop exception lifecycles from Dead-Letter Queues to structured error reporting.
• Specify Data Steward interfaces and APIs for reviewing exceptions, merging/unmerging records, and correcting payloads.
• Architect idempotent replay mechanisms for corrected payloads.
• Over 5 years of Technical Product Management experience leading intricate backend data platforms, distributed data engineering products, or big-data ingestion systems.
• Demonstrated experience in productizing solutions driven by Apache Spark and distributed data processing frameworks.
• Extensive knowledge of Databricks/Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Experience with Delta Lake/Parquet performance patterns.
• Proficient in optimizing nested arrays and hierarchical data for OLAP query engines.
• Direct involvement with Master Data Management, entity resolution, or identity matching tools.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, Dead-Letter Queues, and data replay/remediation workflows.
• Capability to write and execute SQL and Python for dataset analysis, engine output validation, and logic rule definition.
• Nice to have: knowledge of healthcare data standards including HL7 FHIR, C-CDA, or HL7 v2.
• Nice to have: familiarity with healthcare terminologies such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, and ICD-10.
