
Senior Technical Marketing Engineer – Data Center Networking, Apstra

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create technical enablement materials, such as presentations, solution guides, white papers, workshops, labs, and training resources.
• Design, construct, and sustain product demonstrations that highlight customer challenges, technical capabilities, and business results.
• Provide support to field sales, systems engineering, and channel teams with technical expertise and customer-facing materials.
• Present at customer meetings, internal enablement sessions, partner events, and industry conferences.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and regional field teams on product launches and strategic initiatives.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in data center networking, automation, AI, and cloud infrastructure.
• Convert intricate technical concepts into straightforward messaging for both technical and executive audiences.
• Assist customers, partners, and field teams in positioning and adopting HPE Apstra.
• Impact product adoption, customer success, and the evolution of automated data center operations.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in Technical Marketing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical position.
• In-depth understanding of IP Fabrics, Spine-Leaf Architectures, BGP, and EVPN/VXLAN.
• Practical experience with network automation utilizing APIs, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or comparable automation frameworks.
• Experience in presenting complex technical solutions to customers, partners, or field organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging product demonstrations that convey customer value and business results.
• Skilled in producing technical content, including presentations, white papers, training materials, solution guides, and technical documentation.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Capability to develop persuasive technical narratives.
• Experience supporting enterprise sales teams through technical enablement, customer presentations, solution development, or RFP responses.
• Understanding of enterprise technology sales cycles and customer purchasing processes.
• Ability to manage multiple field requests while prioritizing strategic initiatives and business needs.
• Preferred: Experience with HPE Apstra or other intent-based networking platforms.
• Preferred: Knowledge of intent-based networking, model-driven automation, or software-defined networking technologies.
• Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted networking, agentic AI, or large language model (LLM) applications.
• Preferred: Experience in Python programming or software development.
• Preferred: Experience in building automation tools, APIs, proof-of-concepts, or interactive demonstrations.
• Preferred: Familiarity with sales enablement platforms or content management systems.
• Preferred: Industry certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP-DC, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent data center networking certifications.
