Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business teams to identify their needs and convert requirements into scalable data solutions that align with organizational goals.

• Lead efforts in gathering requirements and mapping business processes and data flows across various systems.

• Define and validate business rules, metrics, KPIs, and corporate performance indicators.

• Design and enhance data models for Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse environments.

• Establish dimensional modeling strategies, including facts, dimensions, granularity, and relationships.

• Develop data architectures utilizing Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Power BI.

• Maintain data quality, consistency, and traceability throughout the data pipelines.

• Set standards for data ingestion, transformation, quality, and delivery across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.

• Act as a technical reference for Data Engineering, BI, and Analytics teams.

• Assist in solution implementation, ensuring compliance with architectural and business definitions.

• Create documentation for data models, business rules, and corporate performance indicators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in data modeling for analytical environments (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or Lakehouse), including dimensional modeling and the definition of facts, dimensions, metrics, indicators, and granularity.

• Proven experience in gathering and translating business requirements into data solutions, contributing to the definition and standardization of corporate metrics and indicators.

• Background in data architecture projects, integration across various information sources, and data governance, quality, and traceability.

• Capability to work in a consultative role with business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Proficient in advanced SQL, Data Warehouse and/or Lakehouse environments, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power BI, Semantic Modeling, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).

• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Fabric.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Data Vault.

• Preferred: Experience in defining a Single Source of Truth (SSOT).

• Preferred: Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM).

• Preferred: Experience with data cataloging and governance tools.

• Preferred: Experience in modernizing Data Warehouses to Lakehouse architectures.

• Preferred: Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate certification or equivalent.
