This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as a liaison among Art, Engineering, and the game engine, facilitating effective communication and resolving cross-disciplinary challenges.
• Assist artists with the integration of art into the engine, including asset setup, debugging, and optimization processes.
• Design, create, and sustain tools, scripts, and workflows that enhance artist productivity and elevate content quality.
• Collaborate with artists across various disciplines including animation, modeling, texturing, shaders, VFX, and other real-time content areas.
• Detect visual and performance issues, producing high-quality solutions within technical limitations.
• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of procedural tools, art pipelines, and production workflows.
• Develop clear and concise documentation for tools, workflows, and pipelines.
• Assume responsibility for technical challenges, operate with minimal supervision, and proactively seek out improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with both art and engineering teams to support content creation, enhance workflows and pipelines, and help elevate visual quality while adhering to technical constraints.
• In-depth knowledge of real-time content development and game art pipelines.
• Technical expertise in one or more art disciplines (e.g., animation, modeling, texturing, or VFX), along with a comprehensive understanding of their interactions within a game engine.
• Professional experience with Unreal Engine 5.
• Familiarity with procedural workflows and content creation utilizing tools such as Unreal Engine PCG and Houdini.
• Experience in supporting or developing production tools and workflows.
• Proficient in using DCC tools like Maya.
• Programming or scripting skills in C++, C#, Python, or a related language.
• Understanding of asset management and version control methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, a curious mindset, and a collaborative approach.
• Must have legal eligibility to work in Canada and reside within Canada.
