This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research, interpret, and implement U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and emerging accounting standards.
• Create clear, audit-ready technical accounting memoranda and documentation.
• Analyze and document intricate and non-routine transactions, such as business combinations and acquisitions, revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, consolidations, goodwill and intangible assets, debt and equity transactions, foreign currency, and software capitalization.
• Provide support for technical accounting issues within a complex healthcare services organization, including risk management programs, self-insurance arrangements, medical malpractice liabilities, and physician compensation programs.
• Collaborate with Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Operations, Corporate Development, Human Resources, Information Technology, and external auditors.
• Evaluate accounting implications and ensure suitable reporting treatment.
• Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosures.
• Facilitate accounting standard implementations, due diligence, purchase accounting, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; an advanced degree or additional accounting education is advantageous.
• Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with substantial exposure to technical accounting, financial reporting, or a public accounting setting.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting obligations, accounting research methods, and financial statement disclosures.
• Experience with IFRS is a plus.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, or comparable software.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and the capacity to convert complex accounting guidance into practical business solutions.
