This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the technical accounting analysis for intricate revenue arrangements, which include contract modifications, variable consideration, new product offerings, SSP considerations, and non-routine transactions.
• Research and document accounting positions by converting FASB ASC guidelines into clear conclusions.
• Draft, maintain, and enhance the ASC 606 revenue recognition policy memo and revenue playbook.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting on complex revenue issues affecting period-end reporting.
• Provide guidance to Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and Product regarding the accounting implications of business decisions, contracts, and go-to-market strategies.
• Prepare and review quarterly stock-based compensation accounting, journal entries, disclosures, and variance analysis.
• Compile group financial statements, which include consolidation and entity-level reporting.
• Manage quarterly Controllership reporting for the Board and investors.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Finance leadership to ensure accurate and well-supported materials for the Board and investors.
• Assess the accounting implications of operations across various jurisdictions.
• Act as the main technical accounting partner for external auditors.
• Transform complex technical accounting guidance into actionable recommendations.
• Utilize AI tools when appropriate for technical research, memo drafting, and enhancing accounting processes.
• Support SOX readiness through robust controls and documentation.
• Contribute to special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc analysis.
• Report to the Controller and collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Sales Operations, Product, Corporate Accounting, and external auditors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA certification.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant hands-on technical accounting responsibilities.
• Experience in Big Four or public accounting audit environments.
• Extensive knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition, including multi-element arrangements, variable consideration, SSP analysis, and contract modifications.
• Familiarity with stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718 and associated equity administration workflows.
• Practical experience in preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements.
• Background working with multinational companies, international subsidiaries, or multi-entity corporate configurations.
• Understanding of accounting considerations for operating across different jurisdictions.
• Capability to research and apply FASB ASC guidance, evaluate complex accounting issues, and document conclusions in clear memos.
• Proficient Excel skills, including management and reconciliation of large data sets across multiple systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to work autonomously, exercise sound judgment, and juggle multiple priorities.
• Experience with foreign currency, intercompany arrangements, or cross-border entity structures is advantageous.
• Background in supporting SOX readiness or enhancing financial reporting controls is beneficial.
• Experience in optimizing accounting workflows through systems, automation, or AI-enabled tools is a plus.
• Collaboration experience with Product, Sales Operations, or Legal on new offerings and contract structures is a bonus.
