Senior Tax Accountant, EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary tax lead for Hims & Hers in the EMEA region.

• Oversee quarterly and annual tax provisions for EMEA entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements.

• Guarantee the timely and precise preparation and filing of corporate income tax and indirect tax submissions across various EMEA jurisdictions.

• Assist with withholding taxes and tax registration processes.

• Support and manage tax audits, inquiries, and communication with local tax authorities.

• Collaborate with the U.S. tax team, corporate legal, and accounting departments on entity restructuring, transfer pricing documentation, and analysis of permanent establishment risks.

• Keep track of legislative and regulatory changes in the region and evaluate their impact on the business.

• Design and implement tax-efficient structures for new business initiatives and existing EMEA operations.

• Report status and challenges to the Senior Manager of International Tax in the U.S.

• Conduct EMEA tax research and collaborate with external advisors to support business objectives.

• Maintain tax compliance calendars and documentation to ensure strong control and risk management.

• Foster the development of tax staff by managing performance, setting objectives, providing training, and nurturing employee relationships.

• Work closely with external advisors and local finance/accounting teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or tax is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax within a multinational organization or Big 4/public accounting setting.

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of EMEA direct and indirect tax regulations, reporting duties, and tax accounting standards.

• Familiarity with transfer pricing principles and international tax regulations, including BEPS and Pillar Two.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with the U.S.-based tax team across various time zones.

• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the capacity to manage numerous priorities in a dynamic, expanding environment.

• Professional qualifications in Tax, Accounting, or Finance, such as ACA or ACCA, are preferred.

• Experience with U.S. GAAP tax provision preparation and review (ASC 740) is preferred.
