Senior Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical guidance for the squad while mentoring Data Engineers.

• Establish, assess, and advance data solution architecture.

• Assist in designing scalable, resilient, and efficient data pipelines.

• Ensure adherence to architecture, security, governance, and data quality standards.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to define technical solutions.

• Engage in technical refinement sessions and aid in effort estimation.

• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and impacts within pipelines and data products.

• Perform technical reviews and support decision-making during implementation.

• Uphold best practices in development, version control, observability, and monitoring.

• Aid in the advancement of Data Lake architecture and distributed processing.

• Advocate for standardization, reuse, and sustainability of solutions.

• Assist in resolving technical obstacles and high-complexity incidents.

• Oversee the quality, performance, scalability, and availability of solutions.

• Share technical expertise and contribute to the growth of the team.

• Facilitate the use of AI as a catalyst for analysis, development, documentation, and engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Tech Lead, Data Architect, Senior Data Engineer, or a similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of data architecture and distributed solution design.

• Familiarity with AWS services, specifically S3, EMR, Redshift, Lambda, and Kinesis.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Experience with Airflow, including the creation and orchestration of DAGs.

• Knowledge of dbt, DuckDB, and Spark.

• Experience with Data Lakes and large-scale data processing methodologies.

• Understanding of data modeling principles.

• Experience with messaging and streaming technologies.

• Knowledge of distributed architectures, microservices, scalability, and elasticity concepts.

• Experience with observability, logging, and pipeline monitoring practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and best practices in software engineering.

• Experience integrating various data sources.

• Ability to analyze interdependencies and impacts among pipelines and data products.
