Senior Tax Manager – Private Client Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead a team while building robust relationships with clients.

• Work closely with Partners in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.

• Manage tax planning and compliance for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.

• Guarantee prompt and precise delivery of federal, state, and local tax returns.

• Identify and address delays related to workflow, technical issues, and client concerns.

• Review complex tax returns for accuracy and appropriate documentation.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing proactive tax planning insights.

• Oversee engagement budgets, realization, team utilization, margin risks, scope creep, and inefficiencies.

• Develop relationships with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.

• Offer coaching, training, feedback, recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation assistance.

• Utilize tax technology, data tools, and process enhancements.

• Engage in business development, proposals, and the expansion of client relationships.

• Stay updated on changes in tax law and collaborate with colleagues across the firm.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is mandatory.

• Over 10 years of extensive tax experience in compliance and consulting services for high-net-worth individuals.

• At least 8 years of tax compliance experience, specializing in complex technical individual and business returns.

• Recent experience in Public Accounting is necessary.

• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification is required.

• Familiarity with GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software is preferred.

• Proven track record in acquiring new clients and developing a book of business is desirable.

• A Master’s Degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred or desired.
